In the summer, I think we all can agree that keeping life simple is key. And that goes for your decor as well.  The path to comfort leads us outside.  The best one can do is bring some chairs outside, set up near a big ol' tree with some chilled wine and hard-to-break tumblers and enjoy.  The more we can bring the outside in or the inside out, the better.  Minimal detail, lively color or white-only and materials like metal or plastic seem to make things easy.  As for me, I threw some white flat sheets over our dark chenille sofa.  It's keeping us cooler, both physically and mentally, and when fall comes I can just throw them in the wash. Simple.
